Since most Q/A websites seem to be born dead, or born to die young, I tend to hold on tight to whatever good enough thing I can find. I used to use Yahoo Answers and Formspring back in the day, so I tend to find out what the wannabes and clones are upon closures.

I don't remember, I must have heard it from someone/people who were on a previous social Q&A website. But that would have been before Retrospring went down for a year or a few and then came back. I don't remember how I heard it came back, I must have been in outside contact with a Retrospring user. Either way, Retrospring is the last of a long succession of social Q&A sites I've been on that kept shutting down, I think this is the reason a lot of Retrospringers are here. The first social Q&A site I was on was before spring.me, I can't remember what it was called, and I was on it because my friend Darin was answering questions on it and I'm always fascinated by what he has to say. http://facebook.com/darinstevenson

My story is a lot like AJS’s. Similar websites shutting down/imploding and so now here I am. Migrated with the others on Formspring.

I was on Formspring and spring.me years ago. Spring.me got bought. I and others migrated to the first version of Retrospring. I don't remember how I learned about it. Then Retrospring shut down and I went to Modernspring. That shut down. I found out Retrospring came back and joined it. I tried Kiwi a little bit but that also shut down.
