- Hai, for like a funny 10 mins (to address an older sibling in Vietnamese, you say [gender] + [order of child]; i am the eldest so my younger brother calls me Hai [literally meaning 2] all the time and a classmate thought it'd be funny to do the same, saying "Hi Hai". they stopped after i told them they were just calling me 'older sister' LMAOO)
just for clarification for those who noticed: in South Vietnam, we address the eldest child in the family as hai (2) instead of một (1). the special honorific for first-born child is cả, which is still used for North. while i'm not 100% sure why we don't use it (even my mum doesn't really know), there's some common reasonings i found:
- superstition that the first child will be taken by bad spirits, so they skip it
- in the past, the village leader was called “Hương Cả” so people avoided using it out of respect
- during the North to South migration era, the eldest stayed to care for the ancestor homes/families while the second eldest went to the South

see, i don't drink coffee at all but i do like cà phê sữa đá (viet iced coffee) when given the chance! very rarely though
otherwise, i like teas more!! usually lychee oolong, or lemon green tea (specially the khong do brand, or arizona) :D if i could, i would happily down a 6pck of khong do if consequences were not an issue

the TL;DR: everyone's moon privileges are revoked for who-knows-how-long and everyone is allergic to sunlight.
it's slice-of-life styled so there isn't a ultimate plot in mind, only sub-plots and mini arcs! it'd be a dream to have it like a comic but ¯_(ツ)_/¯ i am not very committed (i had a plan where each chapter would be from a different character's POV, eventually repeating if need be) !!!
ABOUT THE WORLD
- the Underground (the cave where the animals live in) is structured like those fantasy underground kingdoms; there are levels, there are bridges from one side to the other, and there are holes in the walls that are used for dens! who made it, you ask??? well, the cave and its system was already there; it was the animals who worked together to make dens and the bridges :3c
- about the levels: no one wants the top levels (danger of sun monsters and sunlight, but you are able to tell the time) and no one wants to be at the bottom (too cold, threat of flooding, but you won't get disturbed). the middle is a peace ground only. it was initially a "first one there gets first pick" ordeal but there's trouble with territory lately
- the meow meows live near the first layers!!
- i think i made it sound like it's always clear sky/day in a previous post but it seldom rains! and it rains hard. luckily, the sun monsters are unable to come out so majority of the cave residents come out to play
and that's a bit of it! for now >;)

- (South) Vietnamese; mother language but i eventually lost fluency at YR 1, cannot read or write but can somewhat understand or speak it (well, enough to notice if my parents are talking smack during family events LMAO) bilingual more like bye-lingual 😭
- a family friend once asked how old i was and i replied “5 years old” when i was 15
- Japanese; school taught, arguably more fluent in every way
if there was one i’d love to be fluent in, it’s Sign Language !!! :] my high school only offered Japanese, then Mandarin by the time i graduated but i like to think people would be more interested in sign language

- when i was a dummy kid, i climbed into an opening of a wall and fell off head first; had an ice pack
- when i was 8, i sprained my pinkie when falling off the monkey bars
- when i was 13, i stepped on a broken glass piece, right onto my right foot sole (around the base of the big-toe); just took it out, wrapped it and called it a night
- when i was 15, i rolled/sprained my right ankle while walking/tripping downstairs in my school theatre (my actual highschool had stupidly steep steps except for the theatre and, well, whoops!). had to be wheelchaired out
- when i was 16, i rolled/sprained my right ankle, again, while walking to my seat in my school theatre; some asshole didn't move for me and i tripped over his crusty feet. also wheelchaired out :^)
nah, i did not go to the hospital for any of these. i only went to the doctors for my pinkie and ankle (2nd event). my right foot has seen better days.

it was just me, dad and my brother (who had a stomach bug) and the nurse waddled in, looked at me and said "and are you [brother]'s mother? ........... oh dear no, you look a bit young"
WHAT'S EVEN WORST IS THAT my dad recently had go to the hospital and my mum joined him because he needed a relative on standby. the nurse asked if she was my dad's DAUGHTER.

hi hi !!!!! you're so KIND <33 idk if same face syndrome just talks about the entire design or just the face so i'll keep it to face........ eue)b
i think it essentially boils down to shape language... i was also the type to copy/paste a drawing and add different fur styling and ears, but the face specifically was usually the same T—T if i had older drawings, i would share but i trashed them all. my rules are:
- sharp = mean/feisty/adventurous
- round = friendly/ditzy
- however, art rules are simply made to be broken. do you have a sweet but sharp-featured character? or a malicious rounded friend?? tell them i love them !!!!!!!
my go-to for designing unique features are: eyes and eyebrows (then mouth and proportions lol), since you can be so diverse with this. i get inspo from anime/manga which is why so little of my characters are, yknow, BALD :^) you cannot pry my wig kitties out of my hands
while i think this^ is better applied to cartoon/anime/whatever-my-style-is artstyles rather than realistic, even real life beings have different traits despite being the same animal!
i was gonna say more about designs in general but since this is just about same face syndrome, i'll save it for another time !! just know that if someone is able to differentiate two similar (as in same features like age, gender and species/race) characters just by a colourless sketch, you can consider that as a victory! :Dc

essentially a slide of life/tragedy BUT it’s basically the prompt “the moon hasn’t risen in months” combined with the ARG “the sun vanished” !!
monochromatic monsters came by first and the sunlight became more deadly; those touched by sunlight is get harsh burns (this can be seen with Froggy, Blazemoth, Thriftstalker and others that i haven’t drawn a proper ref yet). it has always been day—think of the sun rotation as the same in some countries where the sun doesn’t fully set.
the only place they’re safe? away from the light.
before the main cast, the Moonstone Colony have moved to the caves in the shadows (called the Underground) where there are other animal groups living there too (each unique species is divided by factions, but each faction can have multiple groups too)! some factions/groups are borderline tense and some have formed alliances/partnerships!
story-wise, it’s mostly just the cast fooling around. some outside fights here and there. waiting in the caves until the sun sets.
it’s definitely loose and there are more realistic things i’m ignoring but it’s a concept i’m having fun with and that’s all that matters >:)

i do like to draw layouts (sometimes even writing down the col widths and orders); and while not always, i do a desktop and mobile view for some sections! but i also go with the flow too (lustrous, break and telling are a few)!
as for what info goes in what box… it’s whatever looks the best there really! or even what’s expected with the flow. you’d usually find the basic infos BEFORE likes/dislikes, that type of thing!
i also get general inspiration comes from
- carrds (i look for muse-based carrds the most, or the defaults)
- tumblr themes
- PSD templates on deviantart (and i guess those custom boxes too)
- character roleplay forms
- other codes
- websites

HOW I GOT INTO ART
- i think…. my earliest online inspo was BaniTheKitty (now ezpups) on YouTube! and then i did still-life drawings of my LPS toys (i did a whole book of these but i left it at a park so :[ )!
- i also preferred cartoons over real-life series (except for animal documentaries) when watching television <3 tom & jerry and doraemon was MY thing
HOW I GOT INTO CODING
- deviantart introduced HTML to me but i was only invested in it to make my profile pretty like the cool kids.
- then in late 2019, i saw someone ask for a warrior cats code on Toyhouse forums and thought “hey i can do that”; so that plus the positive reactions from the crowd, everything went uphill from there ᕕ(ᐛ)ᕗ
WHY MOST CODES ARE FREE
- i was about 15 at the time with no access to receiving money and paranoid that my bank account would snitch my age to paypal (if i tried to make an account) LMAO
- but even if i had a working paypal, i never thought my (coding) work was of high monetary value so i hadn’t bothered until other people suggested it to me!
- but with some free codes (of mine and other’s) being large and so beautiful, it’s a bit hard to figure out what can be F2U and what can be P2U nowadays! ;c;
- still, i’m happy to know that people would pay for them; that’s why i have a kofi now ;3c
