Your administrator/supervisor sends you a friend/follow request via social media... Do you accept? Why?

Depends on if we have talked about stuff outside of work and have intentions to hang on. If not I'd rather not open my doors to be stalked by a co-worker... even if I've not used my IRL Facebook in about 6 years.

All my social media is exclusively for internet people. Unless you’re good friends, I don’t think that’s very appropriate.

I guess I would accept, but I guess that means I can't "like" any of the shitty grad school/PI memes anymore lool

We have a rule about that at work. You can't be friends on social media if you work together. I doubt it's enforced but I wouldn't be obligated to accept their requests because of this.
