i think im a HUGE sucker for height difference, esp if the girl is taller if its a m/f ship. im a big fan of dynamics where two people of opposite aesthetics but complementary personalities come together, such as glimwood where kaia a fun but down to earth jock is with naomi whos a timid nerd that acts cold for her own protection
This may sound really basic but I really love friends to lovers, specially if one of the characters has trouble making friends to the sole part of the "friends" in the dynamic is already meaningful to them lol... any iteration of that trope is so cute for me... childhood friends to lovers / best friends to lovers. People who know the other better than anyone and they continuously support each other, and then realizing their feelings and coming to the natural conclusion that they always wanted to be with the other person. I like ships where, despite being a couple, they still act like the best friends they are AHDKDHDKDHD
I guess rivals to lovers? Friends to lovers is good too. I also just like ships where a couple hit it off and it gets built up over time, but the sparks are there right from the onset.
I usually go by Oc x Canon with a lot of my characters, Tyler included. My favorite ship dynamic is the Smug Jokey character x Super serious person who wants to gut punch them on eye contact XD I just think its a nice change of pace. Though I am considering Oc x Oc for Tyler, I'm currently making a rival for him but idk if they'll be just bros or something more!
I'm barely comfortable writing current oc/canon interactions let alone ships atm out of fear of messing up the character or feel like i'm doing them an injustice to someone else who likes the character. With oc x oc with someone else, i have someone to bounce ideas off of, reveal things about the characters i straight up didn't know and make something nice out of it. My favourite dynamics have to be "people who are either tired or sad find solace in each other and choose love." This is how it's worked for Avian every time whether its with a rocket exec or a former champ turned teacher - enjoying the quiet and comfort in each others arms.
When it's ocxoc when they're both my ocs then i can be as self indulgent as i like.
The only ship I have right now that I’ve done things with and people know is Norra and Dulse. Which I would consider a BubblyxSerious dynamic.
Tho, I have to give a shout out to the Overly Humble/Doesn’t see themselves too highly x The Encourager/ Have Witnessed and knows their SO is nothing but Wonderful <3
