Would you make your 3 year old child wear a mask in grocery stores and public transportation?
If I were a mum I would protect my child and do anything to keep it safe and healthy. If that means to wear a steel helmet at groceries? Damn, yeah!
Yes, screw facial recognition.
It’s hard enough to get the average three year old around Tesco without them rolling on the floor in a state of apoplexy about something or other - BUT I WANTED THE COCO POPS!/THESE BANANAS ARE TOO YELLOW!/WHAT’S WRONG WITH CLIMBING INTO THE FREEZER, THAT’S WHERE THE PEAS ARE?! I can’t see sticking a face mask on them - and keeping it there - being anything other than a complete nightmare.
No.
I'd definitely try. Some little kids won't even keep their shoes on when they're cranky, but mostly I've seen little kids being better about it than adults and older kids, at least on what I assume are short trips like to the grocery store. Like I've seen families with multiple kids under ten who are all prancing around happily with masks on, but the adults have theirs pulled under their nose or don't have it on at all. I know someone who said his girlfriend told their 3-year-old they were playing peekaboo but they couldn't do the "boo!" part until they got home (which is true, that's what they're doing), and it completely worked and continues to work.
