What does water taste like?
Water tastes of all kinds of things. It depends where it’s come from, what it’s been in contact with, what it’s been kept in, the chemicals used to purify it - even the pipes it came through to get to your glass. There are water sommeliers who can identify the individual minerals in water, and even pinpoint where it’s came from, believe it or not. The water where I come from in Scotland has come straight from the hills and is clear and fresh and neutral. The water in London is slightly yellow coloured, a bit ‘soapy’, tastes of metal, and eats through kettles in a flash because it’s so hard. It’s not pleasant to drink. They do say a glass of tap water in London has been through a person NINE TIMES on average.
Depends on where you get it from. The water in Huntsville, Alabama tastes kinda mossy. I've never knowingly tasted moss, but I've smelled it, and the water in Huntsville tastes like moss smells.
Sewage and spring source taste different. One like old fish tank the other slightly metallic or mineral depending on the source.
