In which part of your country do people have the weirdest dialect?

Liverpool (Liverpudlian) - Sounds like an agitated dolphin (its kinda charming but the chavy liverpudlians sound so odd).

When my girlfriend from Norway was over, we drove from South Florida to Michigan and back, and she commented at one time that it surprised her that, no matter how far you drive in the US, everyone has the same dialect.

I guess this dialect is related to Elizabethan era English? It sounds almost like an Irish person speaking.

Almost everywhere. Each of the German regions has distinct dialects that can pull your shoes off ( German saying ). But there are regions where people either refuse to or claim to be unable to talk German. Dialect only as a sign of independence and cultural prowd heritage owners. Yes, we have such idiots too.
