One thing about America is that so much land was plundered from various sources that there is a wealth of diverse geography and culture - whatever your particular brand of masochism is, there is a place where it is enabled and possibly encouraged by law, from the 'snowflakes' of California to Montana and Idaho for those of us who consider themselves sovereign citizens and dare the gummint to come and take their guns
