Do you find hunting unethical?
Hunting for sport, yes. It's repulsive and anyone who participates in such activities is not someone I'd want to associate with.
No, as long as it is meant to provide food. If it is meant to provide fun I consider it unethical.
Yes only if we were in the situation where we needed to hunt for food is it OK. It is not OK as a sport or form of recreation
When we shop for protein sourced meals /meat - Are we hunting but with less blood shed? (Yes, it's sad knowing how the world works) Lives lost in order for others to continue and the circle of live) At the end of the day, ethics and morals are for a civilized and modernized mindset. As humans adapted and everything changed. As in stores were created and others hunted for us- Well we started judging them for doing so. I just can't cast judgement on something that if you look at it will continue on other levels in the animal kingdom- sure without guns but none the less it will happen and they won't think twice about attacking if it means living another day.
Yes. Weird people who join a hunting school.
When you have enough food otherwise? Yes. Also, when you actually see a dude named Matt or Todd or w/e poorly butcher huge animals in his front yard you wonder just how sick that bitch is going to make himself and his family.
Some forms of it that cause unnecessary suffering, such as some forms of bow hunting and trapping. Done properly and with due respect, it is a vital service for both people and animals themselves. Hunting helps to keep populations as sustainable levels, that is to say it acts as both a method of culling numbers during overpopulation and motivation for conservation efforts during underpopulation. Not to mention its important role in combating invasive species.
It is also a sustainable and necessary source of food and textiles for rural folk, with the added benefit of requiring a lot less fossil fuels though it is certainly not sustainable for the general population.
