Why do you think Islam experiences more violence than the other major religions? You don't see many Catholic suicide bombers or beheadings over kosher laws
I could be wrong, but from what I understand, the Quran is the final word of God, and Muhammad was the last prophet. So what Islam is, and will always be, was set in stone in the 7th century. It can't evolve like other religions. As with other holy texts written long ago, there may be parts of the Quran that encourage things that most of us in the modern world see as barbaric. But as the Quran is the literal word of God, bad people can justify doing whatever messed up shit they can find in it.
Last night I was talking to my friends about this issue. One of them said that all religions to some degree have asshat followers that use violence upon non-believers. He talked about Christianity as an example of a religion that has inflicted violence and pain on many people. I agreed with him but I said now the problem is Islam. Christianity has kind of been checked but Islam hasn't. I don't know much about other religions but Islam internalizes xenophobia. It teaches its followers to be kind to one another but violent against non-believers. Believe it or not this is actually a verse of the Quran. One other factor that plays an important part in this issue is that Muslim countries mostly haven't developed much in the past few centuries. They had a golden age but now they're mostly Third World poverty stricken countries. Some of them want to bring back that glory to their religion but they want a society according to Islamic laws - something which most people in today's world won't accept. This might make them feel angry towards others that they believe are in their way. Unlike some religions, Islam is very political. Perhaps the most political of all. It encourages its followers to martyrdom for the sake of establishing a Islamic society. The Quran is full of verses which promises heaven to those martyred in Allah's name and way. These highly political teachings deteriorates the situation.
It is not Islam that experiences violence, it is people who do. It is people who commit acts of violence and it is people being the victims. The question should be why people do this and if religion as such and Islam in particular is to blame. Religiously motivated violence needs people doing it. All those cults from the Near East, including Islam, Jewish Religion or Christian Religions are siblings. The bunch incorporates deadly rules and ideas from the core and knows little tolerance if at all. That is why those religions are easy to use as aggressive ideologies. And you can virtually base any subhuman shit upon those anytime. So when you live under harsh conditions blame other people and kill them in the name of gods.
It's not really about Islam, I think Indonesia has the largest Muslim population on Earth, over 200 million, and while it's certainly no utopia they also don't have ISIS and shit running around there fucking with us - the difference is that the West doesn't fuck around in their affairs (as much), we are reaping what we sowed in the Middle East, and Islam is basically used as a tool to recruit people who just had their kid blown up by drones
