Boomer question: is it wrong to think that the constant influx of fictitious violence in mass media contributes to some kind of desensitisation of people's feelings?

I don't think it does. When I've seen real violence (and I've seen it more than I like to admit) it triggers an anxious feeling in me and I assume others. If your brain is wired correctly you should be rightfully disturbed ny real violence

No only fictitious violence in mass media but also real one. All the violence that we can see every day ik the news, around us, movies, games, etc...I feel it's making us "normalize" stuff that we shouldn't.

So long as you can interpret between fact and fiction - it's fine. The issue is some people can't.

Nah. I’ve read all sorts of traumatic crap and it still didn’t prepare me for that homeless lady screaming profanities at me for no reason.

Is it wrong to question the type of police officers employed when they in a real violent shooting pump over 40 shots into a black man and that that will desensitate people?
