Asking out of curiosity: What's the first song you think of when "electronic music" comes up? Also, what is the oldest example of electronic music you can think of (off the top of your head)?

Tron for the first, since I think it was the first example of electronic music I heard when I was a young kit. It's sort of become my Prototype, mentally.

The Telharmonium is old, but I don't think it counts being electromechanical rather than electronic in its tone generation. I don't know what the first is, but probably something akin to the theremin where someone saw a fault in their design and turned it into beauty instead.

I dint know if it iz electronic muzic but my keytar gently weepz by lemon demon, dunno why

the first song i thought of was "Baby Maniacs" by Hachioji-P. as per the oldest example... i guess "I'm Blue" by Eiffel 65?

Darude Sandstorm lol. And after thinking about it for a grand total of three seconds, the first thing that comes up about old electronic music is Jean-Michel Jarre. Just the composer, not a specific track because I don't remember any!

Well, after interacting with you a bunch Kraftwerk as a name comes up in my mind for sure, though regrettably not specific tracks, hehe. Otherwise what comes to mind is usually electronic dance music of some description or another, usually things I did step maps to on DDR~!

No particular song comes to mind, just some generic abstract impression of "electronic" music (not EDM exactly, something else not as good). I guess the oldest electronic music I can think of is Kraftwerk, though I don't remember any of their particular song titles atm.

perfume: inryoku is the first song i think of
the oldest electronic music i can think of would prolly be either kraftwerk or yellow magic orchestra; i’m not sure which is older so i’ll say them both.

Probably doesn’t count since I had to look up electronic music to know what the genre was like since I’m forgetful…. But I guess Skrillex and other things similar come to mind!
