have you ever went back to something you enjoyed as a younger person or child - like a movie, song, book, etc. - that you found a completely different meaning to as an adult? and did you like it the same, more, or less?

Yeah, I've revisited some childhood games but I've grown to used to being overstimulated by the games I play now that they don't hold my attention like they used to, sadly. I enjoyed them then but my brain is simply different now

Just songs from the past. When I struggled with mental health, songs had a different meaning. Now I just listen and enjoy the music, dark or lighthearted lyrics. Well, not too much dark or sad lyrics over and over.

The Count of Monte Cristo - started as a teenage revenge fantasy and I ignored all that waiting and hoping at the end, where the waiting and hoping was what spoke to me as an adult

Oh yess! As a child I used to draw a lot, just pen and paper and hours and me. Today I do that again but just with digital photos instead. And it has even more meaning than in my childhood. So not exactly what you describe.

There's one, when I was little, I had a book called "I can't, said the ant", and I never really related to it, didn't particularly see a point to it, at least as far as I was concerned. My parents got me another copy of it just a few years ago because the old one was ruined. Now I see how I'm basically the ant in that book. =P

I liked it more.

I had a lot of trauma from the age of 10 untill I was an adult due to bullying/ rape / sexual assault so as a child I was just surviving. Now that I am and adult I can finally enjoy things so I enjoy things more now than I did as a child.
