remember i'm not a professional!

i can only lead you to the right path. this retrospring is for genuine questions, no matter how obvious they seem. because education should be the first priority. please, feel free to ask me anything when it comes to dissociative disorders & trauma, or how they're related to something in my bio.

people from ponytown or my rentry: while worded aggressively, this is for you too.

(same person, again.) I'm not cis, I'm genderfluid and I js wanna make sure it's okay for me to have a qpr with this guy

Genderfluidity has nothing to do with if being in a QPR with a different gender is fine. Of course it is!

Heya! I might(?) be sapphic, still questioning tho. Would it be fine to have a qpr with a cis guy????

Hi, I checked out your rentry because Im going through a "pickle" right now. I keep noticing though that there is someone else in my head and seems like they are trying to form out if that makes sense. I don't know what to think about it because I have not been diagnosed with anything. I only assumed it was just me in here but it doesn't seem that way and I'm confused and scared.

I'm sorry you're going through something so tough. Discovering any form of dissociation can be scary and confusing, and I would suggest going through more official sources, and perhaps writing in a diary and keeping track of what's happening to you. Try to be open minded, and I would suggest looking back on your life and seeing if signs of dissociative disorders existed prior to this pickle.

You genuinely owe no one anything. DID and OSDD, as a disorder, is made to be hidden. It is an undercover worker and your system is your buisness. Though if you trust someone enough TO tell them, it is important you educate them and give them resources as you do such. Dissociation disorders are terribly stigmatized, and it will be hard to come out with such. Try starting a conversation about the disorder without saying you have it. "Have you heard of DID?" "Have you seen (bad movie about split personalities)? I hate how it potrays that disorder..." Ect.

osdd occurs from trauma if im not wrong. if people are upset at your aggressive tone in your rentry, i don't understand why. im schizophrenic and if i saw people pretending to share the same pain that i did, i would be angry too. also, i have heard that osdd is a disorder that you will be unconscious of, which means you wouldn't know that you were a system unless something caused you to realize it. is this true?

Yes, OSDD and DID are hidden disorders, they act as a defensive mechanism for your brain and trauma so you can live life and function normally without the burden of your experience. I found out about my system during a very heavy breakdown and a very serious mental health crisis, in which I finally heard an alter speak to me. It can be different for many people, some may get diagnosed and find out that way. Thank you for sharing my strong views as well!

Hi! I'm asking for a friend and myself, can a Transneutral, genderfluid, Omnisapphic person say the t slur? I don't know honestly and we both really need answers

Yes, you are trans*neutral* so can say the T slur. Genderfluid falls under trans umbrella, your orientation has nothing to do with if you can say Tr@nny. If you are trans, you can say it.

Can osdd1a still have alters? I've looked at your rentry and I dont quite understand and I wanna for my partner

OSDD 1A still do have alters, the alters are just different versions of the "host". Think of it like character interpretations, they're all the same character, with different changes in order to "fit the story". OSDD 1A alters are the same person at their base, with changes in their personality or demeenor to fit their role.

Just wanted to say i appreciate your rentry a lot. I feel like you're helping a lot of people as well as myself understand this topic better.

of course. with the rapid spread of misinformation and misunderstanding, especially on sites like ponytown: it's important to have a source that can safely and quickly educate you on a topic that doesn't have many reputable research facilities and people to its name!
