Can a marriage survive on sex alone?

No. Not for long anyway. After the initial ‘at it like rabbits’ stage has passed (and it always does), what have they got left? Absolutely nothing.

Alone, I shouldn't think so. But my now husband and I spent the first couple months of our relationship holed up in the bedroom, smashing like plates at a Greek wedding. So devil's advocate - I do think it can be a fairly good basis for a healthy marriage.

I guess it's possible if the two people in this hypothetical marriage only prioritize sex but generally speaking i doubt it

I don't think so. You need something a little more. You can have sex with anyone. Vut you need somebody to love..🙂

I would not have believed that could work but former neighbours seem to have found a way for them to make it. They seem to have spiced it up a bit with things that you can still do when you are 85.

It can for a while, but eventually it will collapse unto itself and become a black hole.
