Yup, in second year of high school we went to a military base and learned how to shoot a gun. Each of us got/had to fire multiple times. I don't remember the model of the gun. Maybe it was an AK-47. I should say this was part of a course that we all had to pass. Actually almost all high school boys experience this! Almost all of male Iranians shoot a gun at least once in their lifetime. They have no choice at this! They experience it either in high school or when they're conscripted.
