Who would you rather marry? Option 1: Exceptional looks, Great Personality, No Money - Heavily in Debt, Option 2 Inoffensive looks, Ok personality, Very Wealthy.
I don't like the exceptionally good looking, especially when they have great personalities. That's really unbalanced... Obviously the heavy debt they owe is to the demon they made a deal with. I'm not looking to get mixed up in all of that.
I can't connect with the very wealthy though, so I guess the first one. I'd rather not marry anyone, and I'd also rather be in the company of an OFFENSIVE looking poor person with a regular amount of debt, and a barely OK personality, because we're likely to have a lot more in common.
i dont have a plan for this bad thing.
The circumstances of the debt matter - I have never viewed debt as a proxy for someone's character...if they have to pay restitution to families they bilked out of their pension funds, that is different from 'got sick/injured and crushed under onerous medical debt' , hell I don't too much blame people who got lured in and hoodwinked by credit card companies and shit, you can't make debt a practical necessity for existence and then judge people for their debt
anyway their financial situation wouldn't be the first thing I would consider, or the second or maybe even the third...how do I maximize my happiness? I'm not deciding that before I'm in a room with somebody so I can't deal in this hypothetical
I don’t care how good-looking and sparkly-witted they are, being heavily in debt is a major turn off for me. It makes me think they’re irresponsible and I don’t like irresponsible. Unless their business collapsed because of Brexit or something, I’d be very very wary. It really doesn’t bother me how much money someone makes, just don’t be sitting there surrounded by the latest stuff when none of it’s paid for.
Neither sounds like a good opportunity to merge my future with. Marry? Can we not reduce that to a harmless level like e.g. a weekend fling? Haha!
