(Ask all) What do you want to do as a career when you grow up? Or if you're already grown up, do you want to change careers?

When I get depressed enough about the computer industry, I certainly do want to change careers. But I know that I cannot turn anything I enjoy into a career as I would hate it, just like how I hate modern computing, and there's nothing I don't enjoy that I know how to do, or that I think I could handle as a day job, or that I think I could learn how to do solely for a job. So when I grow up, I just want to destroy capitalism.

I've changed careers once already, might do again if it feels like the right move

when i was a kid i wanted to be a famous singer or actress lmao but then i realized i have crippling social anxiety. i used to want to teach english abroad since i’m a native speaker and that seems easy enough. these days i’m disabled so i don’t work, and though it can get boring at times, i’m mostly happy with my lot in life. i’d still like to teach, but with american school systems and disability accommodations being what they are, i don’t see that happening for me basically ever (also i’m afraid of guns)

yes and no. i'm happy with what i picked with, but i do wonder at times, how things would have gone, if i would have picked something else

Something with my art… as per usual whenever I see this question float around :P

Ideally I'd want to work a comfy software dev or sysadmin job but not full time so I have enough time to dedicate to my girlfriend :3

I'd like to do web development as a job. As many though, I'd aspire to do game programming as a job someday. Probably not happening cx. If I hadn't done programming at all, I think I'd have loved to study law or psychology, I find both subjects really interesting as a hobby and I could see myself doing them as a carrer in an alternative reality. – Anita

If I were no witch I certainly would assume to becoming one, haha! I changed my career several times now and maybe will do so if necessary again.
