Have you ever received a gift from a loved one that made you realize they didn’t know you at all? Details please

Years ago. Boyfriend of two years - TWO YEARS! - bought me a cardigan (yep), and a purse (a thing for keeping money in) that my grandmother would’ve found a bit old-fashioned.

It was the ugliest scarf I’ve seen in my life that my sis-in-law gave me one year for Christmas. Looked like she had ripped it out from the garbage disposal or been thrown away in the trash and then dragged by the garbage truck. My dad also gave a biography on Sara Palin, once. I loathe that woman. 😆

sometimes my momma will buy me clothes and it's like sweats with "BAD GIRL" down the side of the leg in big pink letters

I once got a box of smelliest from my brother and sister-in-law. All I could think was “wow, you put zero thought and effort into this”

I can't equate the two otherwise no one loves me. I'm just grateful they spend some time or money on me.

A relative once tried taking me to a comedy show in NY, which I wouldn't be averse to, were it not the lamest lineup ever assembled. If you knew me at all you'd know who I liked (as far as comedians go)

I prefer plain articles of clothing, no logos or anything like that, and it seems like there are some people who saw a rap video once in 2001 and decided I must want Tommy Hilfiger and/or Louis Vuitton logos smeared all over everything I wear
