Have you ever fixed something that you should have just throw out and replaced?

An old tablet (Nexus 7). I replaced the outdated software in it with a custom ROM (lineage OS) which fixed a lot of the problems it had, minus the battery life which still sucks.

Nah, planned obsolescence is baked into the profit cake - much less fuss to just buy that new Canon inkjet for $79 than try to figure out what's wrong with the old one (and possibly pay much more than that for parts/labor to fix it)

Yeah, I did repair my Mini twice with heaps of money, I did repair a relationship that broke up soon after, I threw out a friendship that turned sour though.

Does a relationship count? haha If not... well I've jazzed up an old fancy mirror... but at the moment I'm not too happy with it... I'll likely give it one more go (dabbing gold metal paint with some gold leaf for a gilt frame look).

If you can fix it, you shouldn't throw it out and replace it. It's better for the environment.
