Hello. I’m scared. What do you do if you need to stay calm?

If you eat, the mechanical motion will tell your brain that its not under threat. Eat slowly and take all of the time in the world.

I listen to http://di.fm/chilloutdreams or one of two songs on repeat that really seem to calm me down: karen overton - your loving arms, the doors - riders on the storm. i've also tried listening to ashra.

It depends on what I'm scared about. Once I spot what's making me feel that way I either face it and try to rationalise the fear or I focus on other thing to distract my mind

I'm always calm on the outside, always chaotic on the inside, this will change when I am dead

I am prone to anxiety and panic attacks myself. When I feel such an episode coming on, I am mindful to stay aware of my current surroundings.

For example, my last panic attack started creeping on me when I was in the car. I took stock of the scenery outside my window and listed everything I could see (in my head). It soon went away again.

I saw this the other day, and am planning to try it. https://www.popsugar.com/fitness/finger-tracing-anxiety-technique-from-psychologist-48313621/amp
Is there anyone with you that can help talk out your fear (s) with you? Someone that can help ground you or even just hug you? I find that close contact with another person who cares for me and/or loves me, helps.

Seek pleasure. Immediately. Distract yourself. It's a matter of turning up the volume to mask ambient noise.
