Do you think it is virtuous to be hard-working?

Not so much virtuous as respectable - desirable even. It’s important to me that you hold down a job (if you’re fit to), and it doesn’t matter which job. It indicates reliability, self-sufficiency, a level of commitment. And it’s fairly simple really: you turn up on time; you actually do the work; you get paid. What annoys the hell out of me is getting paid shit money for doing your job, but that’s a whole other answer.

I think so. To work hard and to take pride in your work is nice - but there is a point were it becomes unhealthy and sad.

Not if you don't understand the value of your labor and demand proper compensation - that's just foolhardy

It depends on why they're hardworking. If they're hardworking because they think it's the honorable or loyal way to be, then yeah. If they're doing charity work, then definitely. If they're hardworking because they want to make a lot of money or because they just like to work, then no. Unless they need to make that money to support their family..
