Do you (or would you) call your in-laws mum and dad?

I genuinely don't know how to address them, I usually go for their first name, but I assume if we grew close enough I could see myself calling them mum or dad.

The mother of my girlfriend and I have a long standing lovely relationship also during the time my girlfriend and I paused our relationship. I could pretty much move in to her any time at night when I am in distress. We have an almost 2nd daughter relationship. In times of misery she has been a wonder of support and care for me.

No, call them both daddy or get out

I only met and spoke to my in-laws once, and I only called them by their names. When I met them, my wife was actually meeting her step father for the first time because her family had no contact with her for so long.

Would I? Hmmm I feel like they'd need to earn it. Not to be a dick, but you don't become a mum or dad overnight unless you're the actuals.

I haven't, my last GF's dad was just Joe...if it meant something to them I could but it would be weird as I never in my life called anyone that
