Do you cook your own food? If so what's your routine? Do you plan ahead? Have a meal plan? Cook according to plan or more spontaneously? Do you stock food and ingredients for this or do you buy more often instead?
oh well you know crack the egg on the edge of the pan. Remove the wrapper before i place the item in the microwave. usually a bit after lunch i'll plan ahead and make it a point to stop at pollo loco on the way home from work. sometime durring the week i'll visit the grocery store to buy the usual beef and such for the weekend feeding, so yeah, since being single thats pretty much my routine. really sexy no?
No, I don't do anything.
Well, sometimes I make a stir fry. It doesnt require much of a plan. I used to cook most nights when I was a fancy married person, but times have changed.
I don't stock up on anything because I don't have enough money to buy more than a week's worth of food. But I've had so little money that I couldn't even do that, so things are goin great.
My husband loves utilizing things in the fridge. So he might make things that don’t necessarily go together just cuz they are going bad >_< I can’t cook like that. Or, more accurately, I don’t enjoy cooking like that. I like to go to grocery store and pick out whatever protein inspires me at the moment, and along with it ingredients to complement the meal. I like cohesion. I like things that go together. I like glorious beautiful plating. My husband calls what he cooks “slop.” Lol. I don’t like cooking slop.
We have a weekly menu, but we don't stick to it 100% of the time. We do buy ingredients every 2 weeks according to what we have on that weekly menu, though. Sometimes, if we're not in the mood to have what's on the menu, we'll spontaneously cook something else off the top of our heads (my wife or me, that is). Generally, on Tuesdays it's "taco Tuesday," though, and Friday is "ramen night."
I cook when I'm home, my routine is chaos - there is no planning, unfortunately this sometimes means I open the freezer and something looks good, but it's frozen solid and never mind then... I tend to keep pantry items stocked and buy whatever proteins I'm going to want and freeze them longer term, and things like herbs/spices and produce or anything that doesn't freeze well, I will buy every few days
