What’s the strangest gift you’ve ever received? (Someone once gave me a fire extinguisher for my birthday.)

For my 9th birthday my grandma gave me the 4th book in the Harry Potter series because she heard "that was the best one." You can't just start a series on its 4th book. I started reading that series a year later though, which I now feel was a mistake. I blame my grandma, and so should everyone else.

When I was a kid, I gave a photo album as a birthday present to one of my friends. He gave it back as a present in my next birthday!

A torch I suppose, because my brother is into torches, high quality ones too, since he goes camping sometimes

Pens… and only pens … packs and packs of pens from target …by my husband , for my 30 th bday. Bless his soul

I got a barbie doll in golden chains at the bottom of a fish bowl with shells, sand and a treasure trove plus a little shark and a dried starfish. Since Barbie has no nipples as she is of American origin they had remedied that by glueing tiny red pearls on her boobs and decorated her blonde hair with glitter, tiny fish and big golden ear rings.

A flashlight. Tbh, I thought it was practical and sweet, given that I had been having some car issues at the time. It was given to me by an older gentleman at work.

A box set of every Three Stooges episode on DVD, but she took a black marker and crossed out every reference to Joe Besser, now there is someone who understands me (I do not acknowledge him as a Stooge)
