When you talk to people from face to face, do you keep eye contact or do you have a problem doing so?

I do have a problem making eye contact. I feel weird when I do it. That's why sunglasses are a godsend lol just keep your head straight and no one is the wiser:)

I can force myself to make about one second of eye contact when I greet the person, and again when I say bye, but when talking to people I don't really look at their faces, let alone their eyes, because it's very uncomfortable for me.

I try to maintain a balance of direct eye contact and looking at different spots in my environment. If their gaze is piercing then I'll likely look away far more often

Yeah most of the time. I only have a hard time if I'm really sad or I have a big crush on them.

depends on how disinterested I am day to day, but in key moments I deliberately keep eye contact

I often have problem concentrating on the conversation when I make eye contact with the other person, especially strangers. I'm also afraid that dystonia might kick in. So for saving face, I try to look away and then meet the person's eyeline every couple of seconds ...

I generally keep it, but there's a balance to maintain - at some point eye contact becomes an unsettling stare if you never break it
