What was your most dangerous encounter with an animal?
So I was riding my bike as a young man on a sunny spring day. It's shitty, one of the end caps on the handle is missing.
There was a spider web on it, didn't think much of it. Then, one minute in a whole gross of baby spiders come out rushing my forearm. In panic I lost control and planted myself on the street.
Don't fuck with spiders man.
I wanted to stroke a horse, so I instinctively held my hand out for it to smell first, like you would with a dog, and it tried to eat my hand. Its teeth were clamped down, and it wouldn't let go. It hurt, and I was starting to panic, so the only thing I could think of was sharks and how they hate being punched in the nose, so I tried lightly hitting it (didn't want to actually hurt it) on the area above its nose, several times, but it didn't care. It eventually let go, I imagine, when the 'food scan' in its brain finished and the result was "no food detected".
It was incredibly dangerous when I saw that wild pig, because she opened my mind to just how fragile everything is. It changed how I calculate risk, and how I perceive life. One minute, you're not even thinking about seeing a wild pig, and the next minute? You're seeing a wild pig. It's bananas. I've been completely impossible to live with ever since. Also before though
It wasn't that dangerous but it's etched in my memory. I went to a boarding middle school. The school was outside the city and in the middle of some farms. There were shepherds there that used to graze their sheep. Anyway one afternoon we were playing soccer. The ball landed on the other side of the school wall. I jumped to the other side to bring the ball back. One of the shepherds saw me and sent his dogs after me [probably for fun]. At the time I was terrified of dogs. I was so afraid that I immediately climbed the three-meter wall injuring my hands.
I was 6 or 7 and in a pet shop with my mother and brother. There was a monkey at the back of the shop in a cage (I know), and my brother and I were up looking at it. My mother thought we were too close or something so she came up to move us back. As she bent down to speak to us the monkey grabbed a handful of her hair and would not let go. It pulled her head against the bars and my mother started screaming. The man in the shop ended up having to cut her hair to get her free. He was very apologetic. My brother and I were left traumatised. My mother was left traumatised but also with a bald patch.
Probably a Rottweiler, I was drunk coming back from a party in a forest when a Rottweiler was looking to attack us (protecting his owner), the owner was with two prostitutes (most likely and didn't give a fuck what the dog was doing for quite some time). We were frozen in place to not upset the dog. I'd say a minute later he tells the dog to calm down... weirdest part there was a Rottweiler puppy present too who was licking my leg the whole time (i'm ticklish). Fortunately no one was hurt, but it was pretty scary. More so with my friends who were closer to the Big Rottweiler.
A damn dog with an even worse owner.

Not sure, but a couple of incidences come to mind. One, when I was a kid, we were at some stranger's house and I was in their backyard swinging on their swing, when their (big) dog walked right in front of the path of the swing and I couldn't stop.. I ran right into him, and then he opened his mouth against my face so that his top teeth were on my forehead and his bottom teeth were on my chin, or something like that.. fortunately, my velocity I still had from the swing pushed him off of me before he bit..
In another incident, I was at the everglades with my friend on the Anhinga trail, and I dropped the expensive (top-end) rechargeable batteries to my camera outside the trail.. the trail was elevated so the batteries were too far down for me to reach them, so I climbed over the rail to get to them.. while I was outside the trail, an alligator made a really fast motion toward me, and I got back over that rail pretty quickly. =p (You don't have to tell me I was an idiot..:p)
