Do you think Asouza should get banned for this reply?https://retrospring.net/ASouza/a/183187
I thought maybe the reason he's not already been banned was because he doesn't send his bullshit directly to people and provoke them to react. I think the bans are earned, I just seems like banning is a futile exercise in these instances because reprimanding someone who has no intention of changing their behavior and is likely to just come back a little worse every time seems like more trouble than it's worth from my POV. I wouldn't think it was unfair if he was banned for holocaust denial, of course. He provides a service though, he says heinous things outright that a few other users here won't say even though they agree. So those who follow him and "like" those answers, and anyone who defends the actual content of his posts, they tell one on themselves that they probably wouldn't have otherwise.
He expressed a very unpopular opinion, but I don't think it's worthy of a ban. Looking at the code of conduct, the only part I'm not 100% sure about is whether it goes against "refrain from posting or uploading content that... is discriminative based on someone’s race, religion, age, gender, disability or sexuality". From what I gather, as well as denying that the holocaust happened, he believes in conspiracies involving Jews amongst the global elite, but as he doesn't appear to be generalising Jews as a whole, or advocating for discrimination or violence against them or a specific person, I don't think it falls foul of the rules (but, disclaimer: I'm a slightly drunk right now, so probably not the best time to answer a serious question like this. 50/50 chance I'll cringe at this later and delete it).
No, that would be the kind of alarming censorship he mentions in his post. And, for all I know, he could be right. Even if he's not, it's ridiculous that arguing about how many people were or were not killed in a historical event would be a punishable offense. It's like everyone's under some strange spell, as I mentioned in my answer to the question, https://retrospring.net/ColorStorm/a/181895
I don't like restricting free speech for any reason, as it really does feed into conspiracy theories and martyr mentality. However, this isn't my website so whatever. Also, a lot of people use this website including from places where even seeing that kind of content can get them in trouble so ehhhh. I can understand either way.
Well i just said the J-word and got casted out for 6wks so I don't know how he got away with that:p
No, he is just the other extreme when it comes to that topic. Both are not right in my opinion.
In his posting are some false representations of well founded facts and some opinions that lack thereof. I personally have visited one of the places where industrialised murder as a means of genocide did take place, I listened to witnesses and eye witnesses and victims who brought their account as evidence to courts. I also had relatives living at the time who were time and historic witnesses and even more, have been imprisoned as non jewish opposers of the Nazi regime and survived. When you claim this didn't happen you can also claim the moon is a cheese.
