I always think of coleslaw and ribs when I hear of barbecue. Coleslaw is edible to me but it sounds pretty overrated.

chicken drumsticks (marinated), baked potato on the side, goi cuon (spring rolls) with nuoc mam (fish sauce for dipping) and when I was still dranking, an ice cold pear cider. and if it's like really Viet then we throw down some hard boiled quail eggs, dip those babies in some salt and pepper
