Are you the “You’re the knife I turn inside myself” person, or the “I love you enough that I let you go” person?

To be honest, I'm the "Youre the knife I turn inside myself" person, but surely can be the "I love you enough that I let you go" when I feel enough for all wounds they gave me.

I would let the knife goes deeper if it's the only way for me to never lose it so please never pull it out of my skin

I always try to be the bigger person, you know, mend fences and see things from the other side. Like a starry night reflecting everything below, I understand where people are coming from, even if it stings a little. I do it all the time, it feels like breathing to me.

But even superheroes need the emotional safety net, right? Especially when things get rough. Deep down, there's a part of me that just wants to be someone's special someone. The one they hold when the world feels like a dust storm. So yeah, option one definitely speaks more to me.

i am definitely the second one. i don’t do “i love you more than i love myself” anymore, so later… i won’t keep something solely for its presence that i adore; i won’t keep a knife just because i like it…

I love you enough that I let you go. Simply because I am aware —half anxious about whether they will throw me away first or prepare for the worst by being the I loved you enough person.
