Depends on how serious of a sore throat. If its one of those, I get woken up at night because of how painful it is to swallow, can barely talk, taste food and have a fever batteling it... then no. If its one of those horse throats but its not debilitating... 100% yes... you could take a pinky finger too while you're at it.
