I think it was when I got my first phone at 16. I mean I've seen naked women before that here and there on some movies and whatnot but never had watched "porn".

This reminds me, when I was in middle school, leaked sex footage of an actress circulated among the entire country and everyone was talking about it. Lots of my friends watched it but I'm glad I never did. The private sex footage was treated as "porn" back in the day. One might wince at the thought of it but unfortunately, it is true. As you can imagine, in a theocracy it means your career is dead and you have to move out of the country. She now lives in France. She won the best actress award at Cannes Film Festival 2022.

We had a family computer in our living room when I was about 8 or so. My dad used to look at porn on it at night and occasionally you'd catch a glimpse from the hallway if you had to go to the bathroom or something. He made an attempt to close it of course, if did he heard us coming. But at that point I had some idea of what porn is, without having to see it, because I'd heard so much about it all my life, from everywhere. I started intentionally making a lot of noise if I woke up, thinking it'd catch on before I came out of the room. But, he also had this issue where he'd minimize the window and forget to close it. So sometimes, in the morning before school it'd just still be down there. I always closed it when I saw what it was, and never even went looking for any porn on my own. I feel like that can't be too uncommon, because a lot of kids get put into these situations where a parent is a child.

I feel like that article doesn't really have a lot of information in it. I've read other things, also without much information, about rising reports of abuse among youth being due in part to better education about abuse. And/or the smallest of cultural shifts in regard to attitudes and reactions to people coming forward, especially kids. Like, you know, they're less likely to feel at fault, or like they'll get into trouble or not be listened to, if they tell a trusted adult. So what gives
